EDM Challenge #118 - Hair

EDM118_Hair

I have been in a slump and haven't done much drawing lately. I'm trying to come out of it. Here's something I did a month or so back, but it fits right in with this weeks challenge. (click to enlarge)
I have had long hair for 30 years and decided to cut it and donate it to 'Locks of Love,' the charity that makes wigs for children. I decided to do it months ago, but it took me a while to build up my courage. When it came time to cut it, I was really ready and was pretty calm. I have never got so many compliments in my life!

EDM Challenge #44 - An Animal

It seems that lately, one of the my main purposes in life is to be a cat pillow to my 2 cats. But I am okay with that! I had to have my drawing stuff nearby in order to draw this, because once one (or both) of the cats are settled, I have a hard time disturbing them, so I won't move for a while. Typical cat household - the cats are really the rulers!
I did this with watercolor pencils in my moleskine sketchbook.

Everyday Matters Challenge #46-
Something Holiday

Santa
I did a little sketching over the holidays - I'm finally posting one of them. This is my current favorite Christmas decoration. It's from the Heartwood Creek collection by Jim Shore. What's even more cool is that I got it after Christmas last year at 75% off - I love a bargain! This was done in ink and watercolor pencils in my Moleskine sketchbook.
