Everyday Matters Challenge #91-Draw an Apple

I did the apple two different ways - the first one with an ink colored with watercolor pencils and the second one with Prismacolor pencils. I like the one on the right the best.

The right one is my favorite too. Makes me want some!

I like them both but the right one wins. I did a similiar thing with my apples and it is fun and educational to do these kinds of experiments.

Thank you for taking the time to draw and post it two ways. It's useful to look at the two and think of the differences achieved. I agree that the one on the right is better, but I suspect it's because you are VERY good at CLP. Thanks for publishing.

These are great. It's good to see two versions. I think the one on the right 'glows' more.

It's most difficult to say which I like best. I really like both of them. The pen and ink shows a lot of depth -- the way you drew the curve of the apple and the hatchmarks for the shadow. That said, the other one jumps at me with luscious color. So I guess you will have to do two of everything (smile).

Great apples! I really like the font you used for "apples", too, somehow it looks very apple-y. I've been missing your entries, glad to see you have a new one!
