I've entered a contest for Talk Like a Pirate Day on zazzle.com. Arrrgh! Don't tell me you didn't know about this holiday every September 19?? Please vote for my design, or I'll make you walk the plank! Click on the design, it will bring up the shirt. Click on the stars to vote for it/rate it (hopefully 5 stars) in the upper right-hand corner and/or put a comment below(I think you have to create an account to comment). Thanks!

I have joined the fun over at The Portrait Party. This is my drawing of my partner Adam Levine. I'm still waiting for him to finish mine. I am excited to see what he comes up with! Pencil drawing colored in Photoshop.
Here is the reference photo he sent me:

I have been in a slump and haven't done much drawing lately. I'm trying to come out of it. Here's something I did a month or so back, but it fits right in with this weeks challenge. (click to enlarge)
I have had long hair for 30 years and decided to cut it and donate it to 'Locks of Love,' the charity that makes wigs for children. I decided to do it months ago, but it took me a while to build up my courage. When it came time to cut it, I was really ready and was pretty calm. I have never got so many compliments in my life!

It seems that lately, one of the my main purposes in life is to be a cat pillow to my 2 cats. But I am okay with that! I had to have my drawing stuff nearby in order to draw this, because once one (or both) of the cats are settled, I have a hard time disturbing them, so I won't move for a while. Typical cat household - the cats are really the rulers!
I did this with watercolor pencils in my moleskine sketchbook.

I did a little sketching over the holidays - I'm finally posting one of them. This is my current favorite Christmas decoration. It's from the Heartwood Creek collection by Jim Shore. What's even more cool is that I got it after Christmas last year at 75% off - I love a bargain! This was done in ink and watercolor pencils in my Moleskine sketchbook.
