Thanksgiving Sketch

Thanksgiving

Here is a sketch of my family's traditional thanksgiving dishes. Although a turkey was involved for everyone else, you won't see it in my sketches since I'm a vegetarian! Ink and watercolor pencils in my moleskine.

This is a great way to immortalize food that took hours to prepare, and minutes to gobble up! I'm impressed with your use of the Moleskine sketchbook with watercolor. What secret technique do you use?

Found it!! I've already commented on Flickr but now that I'm here...This is really great, I love this sort of drawing - with lots of little pieces to look at.I'd like to do more of this kind of thing myself. You have a very distinctive style, and I for one am glad your back posting work. I hope we'll be seeing a lot more.

Thanks for the comments, they are really appreiciated!
Shirley -no real secret technieque, other than using watercolor pencils with waterbrushes and very little water. I think they work better in the moleskines than straight watercolor paint (from what I have heard, I have never tried it myself).
Andrea - it's interesting that you say that about my style. I am always struggling with that and think that I don't really have a "style".
