"Everyone We Know" Sketchbook

I went to the St. Louis leg of the show on Wednesday. The way it was set up was not ideal, with all 2,800 books all stacked in one small area of the gallery. Amazingly, I actually found mine among them! It was very cool peeking into other artist's minds.

Great sketches. I particularly like the Obama sketch.
These look like mixed media, some pen. I love sketching in ballpoint and lately have taken to sketching with a .005 micron pen. I am a bit timid about posting my sketchbook stuff (not my best work). Anyway, Good work.

Speaking of sketching in ink, have you ever heard of James Jean? His blog is . He also has a link to his website. You should look at his sketchbooks. Almost all in ball point pen and truly amazing. I think you would get a kick out of it.
Have a great day!

I love this drawing of Paul. It really reminds me of something else I've seen - sort of a film-noir, comic-book, slow-rate animated, Sin City type of thing....
