Nighttime Ladybugs

I started this illustration for a secret project (coming soon!) and thought I'd make it into a little nighttime scene. I'm loving working with textures - I created this one by collaging some magazine articles and painting over it with watercolor, then scanning it in. Then I got to play with it in Photoshop - one of my favorite things to do.

Oho! I'm still developing mine. I will say that the subject of my piece will definitely be able to "shed some light" on the situation. :)

I like the hidden text you used for texture, and the off-center composition. Is this meant to be a nighttime scene? If so, I recommend adding a moon or such for a light source. Otherwise, the entire background seems kind of dark.

Looks great so far!

LOVE this Lynn! Love the rich, vibrant colors you used. I especially like how you used the text beneath the color on the leaves. And the ladybugs are absolutely adorable!
